I make things, that make people happy.

I live in Williamsburg, New York, with my wonderful fiancé and our dog. I have worked as a software engineer for multiple companies in New York City, San Francisco and Vancouver over the last five years. Before that, I studied mathematics and computer science at The University of British Columbia.

I am excited by simple, elegant and beautiful things. I’m particularly fond of music, food, stereos, clothing, furniture and software, and am very aware of what I consume, own and use.

I love making things that make people happy.

I listen to a lot of music, all the time, all different kinds. Good music deserves good speakers, and good headphones. There is something special about both vinyl and Spotify.

I’m always looking for new music, so I made Amplitude to help me find it, Rediscover to assure I discover it and riley.audio to remember it.

Everyone spends so much time eating — why not enjoy it? I don’t eat food I’m not excited about.

I love cooking food for friends, family and myself. It’s a nice contrast to writing software because it produces a physical product that you get to enjoy with others. You can see pictures of my cooking on Instagram.

Some of my favorite meals have been at Pujol, L’Abattoir, Nicli Antica, Paulie Gee’s, Sushi Nakawaza, momofuku and Cosme.

I’m currently a cofounder at Flight Labs, working with some of the smartest people I’ve ever met. We are building software that helps you spend less time using software. Watch for something public this summer.

You’ve seen my work on file previews if anyone has ever shared a Dropbox link with you. I also built an open source API to help other developers work with Dropbox.

Creating a resume sucks. Standard Resume handles the formatting and gives you a website and PDF. All you have to do is focus on what matters, the content.
